Is It Time to Replace the Consumables in Your HOLANG Nitrogen Generator?
The filter cartridges and mufflers are critical components to ensure efficient, stable operation and high-purity nitrogen output. Regular replacement not only maintains nitrogen quality but also extends equipment lifespan and prevents unexpected downtime.
Don’t worry about complicated procedures — the replacement process is actually very simple!
Just follow the detailed steps below and you’ll complete it with ease.
Safety first — please read carefully before operation!
Core Consumables: Filter Cartridges & Mufflers
Important Safety Instructions (Must-Read Before Operation!)
⚠️ Power and Air Off: Before starting, make sure the equipment is completely powered off and the compressed air supply is disconnected. This is the most critical safety precaution!
⚠️ Pressure Release: Ensure all internal pressure has been fully released (pressure gauge reads 0) to prevent injury or sudden discharge caused by residual pressure.
⚠️ Model Compatibility: Before replacement, always verify that the new consumables (filter cartridges, mufflers) exactly match the specifications required by the equipment. Using mismatched parts may result in reduced performance or equipment damage.
⚠️ Tool Preparation: Have the triangular key included with the equipment ready for use.
Detailed Replacement Procedure:
-
Disconnect the Air Supply:
Locate the compressed air inlet connected to the equipment and disconnect it. -
Ensure Shutdown and Pressure Release:
-
Make sure the equipment is completely shut down.
-
Check the air pressure gauge on the machine. Wait until the needle drops steadily to “0” to confirm that all internal pressure has been fully released. This is a critical safety step!
-
-
Open the Side Panel:
Use the triangular key provided with the equipment to open the right-side panel of the nitrogen generator cabinet. -
Turn Off Internal Power:
Locate the internal air switch inside the cabinet and flip it to the “OFF” position. This ensures the equipment is fully powered down and prevents accidental startup during the procedure. -
Remove the Filter Cup:
Firmly grip the filter cup that needs cartridge replacement and twist it clockwise to unscrew and remove it. -
Remove the Old Filter Cartridge:
-
Hold the black plastic base at the bottom of the old cartridge.
-
Twist it clockwise about one full turn.
-
Pull it downward firmly to remove the old cartridge.
-
-
Install the New Filter Cartridge:
-
Open the spare parts box and take out the new cartridge.
-
Carefully verify that the model matches the old one and meets the equipment’s requirements.
-
Align the new cartridge with the upper socket of the filter.
-
Twist it counterclockwise firmly until it feels securely in place.
-
-
Reinstall the Filter Cup:
Align the removed filter cup with the connector and twist it counterclockwise firmly to ensure it is tightly installed and properly sealed. -
Remove the Old Muffler:
Firmly grip the muffler to be replaced and twist it clockwise to remove it. -
Install the New Muffler:
-
Take out the replacement muffler.
-
Double-check that its model matches the original one.
-
Align the new muffler with the port and twist it counterclockwise until it is fully screwed in and securely installed.
Kind Reminder!
Replacing the filter cartridges and mufflers of your HOLANG Nitrogen Generator is an essential routine maintenance task.
As long as you follow the key principles — “Safety First” (power off, air off, and pressure released) and “Model Compatibility” — and strictly follow the steps above, you can easily complete the replacement. This ensures your nitrogen generator continues to deliver high-purity nitrogen safely and efficiently for your production or laboratory needs!
